In order to celebrate the release of their latest single, AKB48 sub-group Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 held a special live event on February 6th.
The group held a talk session and a mini-live at Tokyo’s Palette Plaza, filling the area with their adoring fans. Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 performed two of their newest songs, “Valentine Kiss” and “Kanpeki Gu~ No ne”, in front of an audience of approximately 5,000… including the original performer of “Valentine Kiss,” Kokusho Sayuri!
Kokusho Sayuri was one of the members of the Onyako Club, whose sub-group Ushirogami Hikaretai is the inspiration for AKB48’s own Watarirouka Hashiritai. The members of the AKB48 group were flattered that such a famous artist had taken the time to come to their performance, but also felt a little pressured. “I’m so happy I could sing ‘Valentine Kiss’ in front of Kokusho-san! It was so nervewracking~”, said member Watanabe Mayu of the performance.
“I want you guys to do your best and feel proud about being idols,” said the former Onyako Club member, looking proud of the idol group. Watarirouka’s Kikuchi Ayaka turned the praise around. “Kokusho-san is here today for us, but the biggest thank you goes to you,” the idol told Kokusho with a smile. The seven girls then turned to Kokusho Sayuri and bowed, shouting “Thank you Kokusho-san!” at the same time.

Four-member AKB48 sub-unit Not yet has just unveiled new information on their upcoming debut single, “Shuumatsu Not yet”!
The single will come in three versions when it hits stores on March 16th: ‘Type A’ (CD+DVD), ‘Type B’ (CD+DVD), and ‘Type C’ (CD+Photobook). Each edition of “Shuumatsu Not yet” will feature its own exclusive B-side, and both DVDs will contain different content. The photobook included with Type C is a collectible, 32-page lyric book.
Not Yet will also be distributing four versions of the song “Shuumatsu Not yet” as ringtones on Recochoku beginning on February 14th, which is a special Valentine’s Day present for eager fans. For one day only, each version of the ringtone will be associated with a different member, who will then send a picture signed with a handwritten Valentine’s Day message to those who purchase their respective versions of the ringtone. The following day, three more ringtones will be added for a total of seven versions.

Seems like Ivy’s misfortunes keep piling up, one on top of other.
Not too long ago, Ivy and another top female singer had agreed to create a duet together. They had already started taking pictures for their album, and were preparing for promotions when unforeseen obstacles forced the project to be canceled.
One entertainment representative stated, “For this project, Ivy’s representatives contacted the broadcasting stations for her appearance on air. However, after the broadcasting stations refused to let Ivy perform, the project was just canceled.”
Apparently, the main reason was because Ivy’s previous agency had lobbyed the broadcasting station employees with stocks. The company employees were caught and sentenced, but the station’s representatives are still wary of letting Ivy back on stage.
But Ivy sought to overcome her hardships and made a comeback in 2009 with the song, “Touch Me”. Still, the problems of her previous company continued to haunt her, and Ivy wasn’t able to perform as often on air.
While Ivy is struggling with the aftermath of that situation, she’s also battling with her current company through a lawsuit that isn’t quite reaching its end.
Concerned over the weight of such issues, Ivy’s fans are hoping that she’ll be able to endure just a little bit longer, and make a successful comeback later on.

少女時代從日本抵金浦機場回國
少女時代去年在日本奪得Japan Record大獎和金唱片新人獎，獲得眾多日本粉絲的喜愛。另外，當天少女時代異於平常的更趨於女性化的成熟裝扮也吸引眾多矚目。
On February 13th, all nine SNSD members returned to Seoul after promoting their songs in Japan!
Although the girls are laden with a busy schedule, they still managed to rock the airport with their chic fashion sense, ranging from the ultra-feminine to polished and mature.
In these pictures, most of the members are seen wearing black heels and skirts. With stylish bags on their shoulders, the girls strutted out of the airport gates as if it were a fashion runway.

推甄上早稻田 AKB實習生獲升正式成員
日本女子偶像團體AKB48實習生仲俣汐里12日確定進入名校早稻田大學就讀，AKB48製作人秋元康認同她為兼顧學業與演藝工作所做的努力，宣布將她升格為正式成員，仲俣成為最快升為正式成員的第10期實習生。
AKB48人數眾多，成名後卻醜聞不斷，2008年離團的中西里菜在2010年換了藝名發行全裸寫真集還下海拍A片；2009年成員倉持明日香被周刊挖出未成年時拍攝的上半身全裸「捧奶照」，後來自己上網承認並且跟粉絲道歉；前幾天則有現任成員大島優子遭日本資深周刊記者爆料她「再忙都要找時間做愛」，咬定她有「性上癮症」，無怪乎進入名校的仲俣汐里會獲得秋元康稱讚「仲俣的努力對AKB成員十分重要」。
On the 12^th, it was announced that AKB48 research student, Nakamata Shiori (18), successfully passed her exams to enter the department of politics and economics at Waseda University. Nakamata let her fans know about her success in Akihabara at the AKB48 research student’s performance. She has been studying as well as doing activities as a research student since last June. Due to her hard work, AKB48 producer Akimoto Yasushi (54) promoted her to become a regular member.
Nakamata wasn’t expected to appear at the theater that day, but she made a surprise appearance in her high school uniform. She turned to her fans and announced her admittance to Waseda, “I’ve thought about quitting either AKB or school many times, but I was cheered on to do my best at both”. The other research students didn’t know about this and were happy just like Nakamata and even cried.
Since joining as a research student last June, Nakamata has basically been an AKB48 member. She has participated in research student performances as well as “substituting” for regular members who were absent. She had basically become a regular during Team B performances, “I was able to perform for around one and a half months”. She has mastered the pressure of work; she goes to dance practice and during her breaks she always studies. She has never neglected her studies.
Akimoto gave a message to Nakamata, “I praise you for your hard work. Nakamata Shiori, as of February 12^th I will promote you from a research student to a regular member of AKB48”. The surprise message from their producer caused Nakamata to sob, “I had no idea I would be promoted”.
After being promoted, Nakamata declared, “I want to do my best so I’m not hidden by the others. I will be aware of my facial expressions during performances. I want to become a Senbatsu member”.
Nakamata Shiori will now be a university student as well as a national idol. It seems her “dual” life will continue to get busier.
